We believe in the future.

And today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders. That’s why we’re supporting charities that help improve the lives of at-risk youth. Our mission? Stepping up to the problems—youth homelessness, lack of education, meal inequality—and doing something about it. Together, we can make a difference. 

Because community is at our core. We love the Fraser Valley, and we want to make it an exceptional place to live.

Community is at our core. Over half a century ago, five members of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board bought 3.5 acres of land in Surrey knowing that they wanted it to be used to benefit the community—they just didn’t know exactly how yet.

Years later, the right time had come. Those members sold the land to the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board with clear instructions that it be used to benefit the community. That sale was the catalyst of our creation.

The Fraser Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation was established thanks to the generosity and foresight of those REALTORS® and the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board—and now, it’s one of the largest Foundations of its kind in Canada.

2016 The Fraser Valley Realtors Charitable Foundation was established.

Being part of the FVRCF is a profound honour. Supporting at-risk youth gives me hope, because every young person we reach has the potential to rewrite their story. It’s incredibly rewarding to help make that possible.

We’re Realtors®

And we’re pretty passionate about homes. We believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home, and seeing children and youth living on the streets in our very own community is heart-wrenching. 

Our Executive Director works closely with our volunteer team of passionate REALTORS® and community leaders to raise funds and guide our granting program. We are powered by incredible additional volunteers, many of whom are local REALTORS® who are jumping in to help their communities.

Christiane Hodson

Executive Director

Christiane (Chris) Hodson has a passion for community service and brings over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector to the FVRCF. She loves working with passionate volunteers and is consistently impressed and touched by the generosity and kindness of REALTORS who want to give back to their community. 

Chris has a Master of Arts degree in Philanthropy and Development and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Manitoba. With her husband and two teenagers, Chris is a proud Surrey resident and honoured to call the Fraser Valley home.
