REALTORS® Charitable Foundation Announces $340,000 in Available Funds to Support Vulnerable Youth in the Fraser Valley
The Fraser Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation (FVRCF) is pleased to announce that $340,000 in grant funding is now available for local charities working directly with marginalized and vulnerable youth in the Fraser Valley. Grants of up to $25,000 are available during this round of granting.
Registered Canadian charities located in, or who offer programs within, the Fraser Valley communities of Surrey, Langley, North Delta, White Rock, Abbotsford, or Mission, and who work directly with at-risk youth, are invited to apply by September 18, 2024 at 4:00PM.
In 2023, the FVRCF awarded a total of $190,000 to 18 charities focused on serving at-risk youth. This funding supported a variety of initiatives, from employment assistance programs to support for emergency and drop-in shelters, demonstrating the Foundation’s commitment to fostering positive outcomes for vulnerable populations in our community. The impactful work of these organizations not only provided immediate assistance but also contributed to long-term development for the youth served by the grants.
“We believe that every young person deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their circumstances,” says John Barbisan, Chair of the FVRCF Board of Directors. “Through this grant program, we aim to support the incredible work being done by local charities that are making a real difference in the lives of at-risk youth. We encourage all eligible organizations to apply and share their vision for creating positive change in our community.”
The recently established FVRCF is among the largest charitable foundations in the Fraser Valley and one of the largest in the real estate sector in Canada, thanks to the generosity of Realtors and members of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (FVREB).
