REALTORS® Charitable Foundation Announces $90,000 IN GRANTS AVAILABLE TO SUPPORT YOUTH IN NEED

REALTORS® CHARITABLE FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES an additional $90,000 IN GRANTS AVAILABLE TO SUPPORT YOUTH IN NEED

The Fraser Valley REALTORS® Charitable Foundation (FVRCF) is pleased to unveil its second funding round of 2023 in support of local charities who serve marginalized and vulnerable youth within the Fraser Valley. The Foundation has $90,000 available in one-time grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.

Registered Canadian charities located in, or who offer programs within, the Fraser Valley communities of Surrey, Langley, North Delta, White Rock, Abbotsford, or Mission, and who work directly with at-risk youth under the age of 29, are encouraged to apply by October 27, 2023. Charities will be notified of the results of their application in November.

“We are committed to being an accessible grant provider, dedicated to supporting charitable organizations that directly serve vulnerable youth in the Fraser Valley,” says John Barbisan, Chair of the FVRCF Board of Directors. “Our vision is a community where no child is left behind – where everyone has the support and opportunity to pursue their dreams.”

The FVRCF is among the largest charitable foundations in the Fraser Valley and one of the largest in the real estate sector in Canada, thanks to the generosity of local Realtors and members of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (FVREB).

“Realtors play an extraordinary role in supporting their communities, generously giving back as both donors and volunteers,” says Christiane Hodson, Executive Director of the FVRCF. “It has been amazing to see their support pour in ever since the FVRCF was established.”

The FVRCF unveiled its inaugural round of granting in February 2023, disbursing $100,000 to ten local charities dedicated to serving marginalized and vulnerable youth in the Fraser Valley.
